Wellbeing 360: How to Avoid a Hormone Hijacking!

This month, CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center will be launching a new education series called Wellbeing 360. This ongoing series of seminars, lectures, cooking demos, and more, will be offered exclusively for members and friends of the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. Our first event, scheduled for October 17 from 5:30-7pm, is in celebration of Women’s Health Month.

5:30-6:15pm Nanette Santoro, MD presents “How to Avoid a Hormone Hijacking!” with Q+A to follow

6:15-7pm Casual Dinner (provided by California Wrap Runner) and Networking

Nanette Santoro, MD will discuss how women of all ages (and their partners) can recognize, understand and predict pre- and early menopausal transitions, and appreciate how changes in hormones, symptoms and aging interact to produce changes in metabolism. Discussion topics will include sleep, hot flashes, mood, exercise and mindfulness and Dr. Santoro will provide insights on how to assemble a tool kit and resources to help you fight back and thrive! Seating is extremely limited for this intimate engagement.

Wellbeing 360 is an exclusive, expert education series for CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center members and friends. This event is brought to you by the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center and the Center for Women’s Health Research. The presentation and dinner will be held in the Third Floor Wellness Lounge of the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. General admission tickets are $10.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Nanette Santoro, MD is a highly sought after, energetic speaker on the subject of women’s reproductive health. An active clinician and researcher in reproductive endocrinology since 1986, she has directed the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at two medical schools and is the author of two books and more than 120 scientific publications. She is currently professor and E. Stewart Taylor Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

What are my parking options at the event?

Parking is available during the event in the Snowmass Parking Lot (east of the building) and Monte Vista Parking Lot (south of the building). Both are pay lots at a rate of $1/hour.
