For 16 years, I faced this challenge, working a corporate job that demanded 10+ hours a day. My weeks were filled with stress and imbalance, and I sacrificed my health more times than not. I lived on coffee (Starbucks café mochas), ate snacks at my desk, and went home hungry. I didn’t know how to do meal planning, so I’d end up stopping on the way home and buying the first thing that looked delicious (which was typically unhealthy). Soon, I outgrew my pants, and I developed a host of health issues. Plus, I was exhausted all the time! It took time before I realized that I was neglecting my health, and sacrificing it for my job. Does this sound familiar?

 

I needed to drastically change my life, so I decided to leave the corporate world, and pursue my passion: Creating healthy, easy, and of course delicious meals for those with limited time and resources. Now, I’m doing what I love, and I want to share that with you. Don’t get caught in this ‘tug-of-war’ – healthy eating is more achievable than you think. You just need a few basic skills to make it happen, and this class series is the place to start.

Dee Iraca is the founder of Eat Well Chef, and a Culinary Nutritionist who’s passionate about food. A foodie at heart, Dee has an obsession for making healthy and delicious food fit into everyday life. She’s an Instructor at the Art Institute and Johnson & Wales University, and does public and private cooking classes throughout Denver, Colorado.
