Spiced Chocolate Banana Smoothie
Do you like to have a smoothie for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert? We can’t decide! But, whatever your preference may be, try this spicy, creamy, and sweet smoothie – it’s a perfect go-to for when you need a sweet treat.
Spiced Chocolate Banana Smoothie Ingredients
Serving size: 1
¾ cup milk (or non-dairy milk replacement of your choice)
1 large frozen banana
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of cayenne pepper (omit if sensitive to spice)
Optional sweetener: ½ teaspoon maple syrup or honey
Method of Preparation
1. In a blender, combine the milk, banana, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and cayenne and blend. Don’t worry if the chocolate chips are still a little chunky.
2. Taste, and add sweetener if necessary (If you use overripe bananas, you may not need additional sweetener).
