If you came to the morning session of our Open House last month, you got a sneak peek of this Chocolate Banana Smoothie. This creamy, sweet and delicious recipe is easy to make and the perfect go-to breakfast or snack.
¾ cup milk (or non-dairy milk replacement of your choice)
1 large frozen banana
1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Dash of cayenne pepper (omit if sensitive to spice)
Optional sweetener: ½ teaspoon maple syrup or honey
1. In a blender, combine the milk, banana, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and cayenne and blend. Don’t worry if the chocolate chips are still a little chunky.
2. Taste, and add sweetener if necessary (If you use overripe bananas, you may not need additional sweetener).
Servings: 1 Smoothie
