Breakfast skipping study

It remains controversial whether or not skipping breakfast is bad for you. Epidemiological studies have linked breakfast skipping with obesity, but studies, where people are randomly assigned to eat or skip breakfast, have shown little effects. This study suggests that habitual diet patterns may explain the differing results. If a person typically eats breakfast, skipping could have adverse effects. But if they typically skip breakfast the effects are less. Bottom line: consistent eating habits may be more important than whether or not you eat breakfast.
