What is the Pillar of the body?
The pillar of the body is made up of all muscles that attach the torso to your shoulders and hips. It is the structural center of your body.
Why is it important to begin your workout with Pillar Prep?
A strong foundation is crucial for your body. Without a stable pillar, energy cannot be transferred to the limbs effectively throughout exercise. Think about building a house. You cannot put the walls up if you have not laid the foundation first. By beginning each workout with what is called “Pillar Prep,” a stable foundation is being laid, decreasing the potential for injury as you ask your body to work as a unit to push, pull, squat, or carry weight.
