The next time you’re at the CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center, keep your eyes peeled for a new face! We recently brought on a new General Manager for the Fitness Center, Mr Robert Shoulders.
Bob has over 30 years of experience in the fitness and health club industry including 15 years owning and managing his own facility, The Fayetteville Athletic Club in Northwest Arkansas. Bob and his wife Katherine grew the club into a 100,000 square foot, multi-sport lifestyle center that included a tennis complex as well as successful aquatics and children’s programs. He also served on the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Board of Directors from 2006 to 2010 and was extremely active in public policy and industry advocacy issues. Since fulfilling his dream of moving to Colorado in 2014, Bob was most recently General Manager of the Meadows Swim and Tennis Club in Boulder.
A St. Louis native and a William Jewell College grad, Bob grew up playing every sport he could possibly sign up for and was a two sport varsity starter in both football and soccer in college. Currently he stays active working out at The CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center, as well as skiing, hiking, biking, coaching youth soccer teams, playing tennis, golf, and walking his dogs Jack and Rufus.
Bob and his senior team comprised of Kevin McCarthy, Jason Schatzenpahl, Tamika Lewis, Candice Baumgardner, Adam Halick and Kelly McNamee, along with the entire staff of CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center look forward to providing the best possible experience in pursuit of your health and wellness goals.
If you see Bob around, don’t hesitate to say hi!
