A Weight Loss Success Story: Joe
Since I started My New Weigh, I’ve lost 70 pounds. That’s more than 22% of my body weight! Throughout the program, I’ve been so impressed with the unwavering support of our health coach, who’s a registered dietitian. The program itself is very educational, and I’ve learned so much about how to maintain a healthy weight and change behaviors. The classroom setting gave all the members of our group the opportunity to share successes and challenges.
When I joined the program, I was in extremely poor physical condition and was having trouble climbing stairs or walking short distances without feeling out of breath. My blood pressure and cholesterol were at elevated levels and required medication. I was pre-diabetic.
Now that I’ve lost the weight, I can exercise 60 minutes on an elliptical machine or at a brisk walking pace without any shortness of breath. I exercise 5-6 days per week, and my dose of blood pressure medicine has been reduced by 75%. I’m no longer pre-diabetic, and blood sugars have returned to normal. Needless to say, I feel so much better…it’s amazing! I actually have the energy to play with my young grandchildren now. I would recommend the program to anyone who needs to lose weight and wants to get on the road to a healthy lifestyle.
